You can play without an account. This page describes what the current site stores and what clearing it does.
Practice stays in your browser
Saved myths, Quick Play and Family Showdown progress, team names, stickers and game coordination information use browser storage on this device. Everyone using the same browser profile can share that progress. This is not an account or a cloud backup.
The offline practice download is optional. When you prepare it, the service worker stores the selected pages, questions and images in this browser. Clearing downloaded practice removes that download, but leaves saved scores and stickers. Clearing the site's browser data can remove both. Browser cleanup and private browsing can also remove data.
Daily Five uses a server record
The Daily service stores challenges, attempts, submitted answers and results. An opaque device cookie connects this browser to its records. The cookie is needed for Daily play; it does not contain your answers. It is HttpOnly, so page scripts cannot read it.
People using the same browser share its Daily result. Clearing the cookie can lose access to that result and bypass the daily limit. It does not delete the server record. There is no account recovery, cross-device sync or public leaderboard. Daily Five needs a network connection, and offline answers are not submitted.
Requests and sharing
Visiting the site sends normal network information, such as an IP address, browser information and requested paths, to the hosting and network services that deliver it. Operational request logs may contain this information. Do not put personal or sensitive information in a shared URL or team name.
The site has no installed analytics service, advertising tracker, payment collection or email signup. Sharing begins only when you choose a share or copy action. Opening an external evidence link sends you to that publisher, whose own policies apply.
Control and limits
Use your browser's site-data settings to remove local storage and cookies. This affects this browser only. There is currently no automated server-record deletion or recovery tool. We do not promise a retention period or recovery guarantee that has not been established.
