Good jokes.
Real evidence.
Fun Myth Facts is an independent project for curious people and families. Our characters can be confidently wrong. Our explanations need evidence.
How a fact earns its place
We start with a precise claim, inspect supporting sources, then have a separate reviewer check the wording against those sources. We keep important qualifications and hold ambiguous claims rather than forcing a true-or-false answer.
Accepted wording is attached to a version. Changing it requires another review; affected questions, scripts and product editions need checking too.
Who is speaking?
The current comic cast is a fox, an owl, a woman and a raccoon, joined by simple animal guests. Bold outlines and expressive faces carry the jokes. Their personalities are fictional, and their names and voices are still being developed. Character actions are jokes and illustrations, not biological experiments or scientific simulations. No character is a scientific authority.
AI assistance, human accountability
This project uses AI assistance for software, research drafts and creative development. Separate AI-assisted source inspections inform the current explanations. The integrating editor accepted the reviewed wording under the owner's delegated authority. That is not a claim that the owner personally checked every source, or that a subject specialist reviewed the material.
Ways to play
Make a prediction, play ten-question Quick Play, try Daily Five, or pass one device between two to six teams in Family Showdown. Explore the animal evidence pages and earn local stickers.
There are no accounts, payment collection, email signup or installed analytics services. Sharing only begins when you choose it.
Where your progress stays
Saved myths, Quick Play and Family Showdown progress, team names and stickers stay in this browser on this device. People using the same browser share that storage. Clearing browser data can remove it; there is no account or cloud sync to restore it.
Daily Five works differently: attempts and results are stored by the Daily service, associated with this browser through a device cookie. A connection to that service is required. People using this browser share its daily result. Clearing the cookie can lose access to that result and bypass the daily limit; it does not erase the server record. There is no competitive leaderboard.
Offline practice and corrections
Use the practice download control to prepare Quick Play, Family Showdown, your collection page and the reviewed myth library for this browser. Installation alone does not download them. Daily Five requires a connection to the Daily service.
A downloaded edition is not proof that its corrections are up to date. Correction checks require a connection and apply to the loaded questions, not every downloaded page. There is currently no approved notice registry configured, so the default is that corrections have not been checked. If a check is unavailable, any retained notices are labeled last known. Notices for answered questions preserve your original answers and scores.
Changed factual wording needs a new reviewed version and checks of affected questions and editions. A public correction submission channel is still being prepared.
